Bacopa Monnieri

Bacopa Monnieri, commonly known as Baby Tears (not to be confused with Hemianthus Callitrichoides), is a hardy, beginner-friendly stem plant with soft, rounded leaves. It adds a fresh, lush look to midground and background sections of aquascapes and is just as happy in a terrarium or paludarium as it is fully submerged.

Its upright, vertical growth and minimal care requirements make it a favourite for both new hobbyists and experienced aquascapers.

Care Instructions:

• Lighting: Moderate to high light for compact growth. Low light leads to more stretched internodes.
• CO₂: Optional – enhances colour and growth speed but not required.
• Trimming: Cut stems from the top and replant to form denser clusters.
• Water Parameters: Grows in a wide range; thrives best at 20–28°C, pH 6.5–7.5.
• Nutrients: Will appreciate fertilisers in both the substrate and water column.
