Anubias Minima 'Variegated', a variegated form of the compact dwarf anubias, carries soft white to light green markings across its narrow, elongated leaves. The variegation is random, so no two plants look quite alike. It is a small rhizome plant that sits well in the foreground to midground, tied onto rock or driftwood.
Like all anubias it is hardy and undemanding, growing slowly from a creeping rhizome that must stay above the substrate. Attach it to hardscape with thread or glue and let it establish. A little more light keeps the variegation bright without stressing the plant, and its tough leaves are largely left alone by grazing fish while the dense foliage gives smaller fish somewhere to shelter. It suits low-tech setups, nano tanks and planted community aquariums.

How to plant your tissue culture Anubias
- Rinse the clear nutrient gel from the base of the plant.
- Divide it into small portions.
- Attach each portion to rock or driftwood with thread or glue, keeping the rhizome exposed and never buried.
- Leave the roots and rhizome undisturbed while it settles in.
