I have had this regulator for about a week now. I put it on a timer so it starts 1 and a half hours earlier than my light. Every morning that I wake up the bubble count is different. I have caridina shrimp, who are extremely sensitive to co2 changes. So I have started my bubble count at 1 drop per 4 seconds, and with monitoring have increased it to 1 drop every 3 seconds. The last few morning that I woke up it was at 1 drop every 10-15 seconds which is not anything for a 50L tank so it did not bother me that much. This morning I woke up to 1 drop every 0.6 seconds. That is enough to kill everything in my tank, I am glad I caught it when I did but that is not ok. It should not start dumping co2 like that. Plus it is very fiddly to get it set to a low drop rate like 1 drop every 4-5 seconds but once you pass the 1 drop every 3 seconds threshold it becomes easier to set up.

Great value regulator

Great value regulator. No need for anything more complex for our 1 tank setup. Thanks for the advice and help. Only thing I would say is that the adjustment (bubble count) can seem to vary until the pressure settles in the line and diffuser and can be a little sensitive when trying to make fine adjustments to the flow.

I'm looking at buying this regulator for my aquarium but concerned about it fitting in the cabinet under my tank. Is there any way you could measure the total height connected to a D size / 6L CO2 cannister?

The height of this regulator from the top of the bubble counter to the bottom is 12.9cm +/-1cm. The bit that attaches to the regulator is 3cm.

So it should protrude 9.9cm above your valve.
