Aquascaping Essentials CO₂ Sodastream Adapter – Side-Entry

The Aquascaping Essentials Aluminium Sodastream CO₂ Adapter is designed to connect Sodastream cylinders from Australia and New Zealand to standard W21.8 (DIN 477) aquarium CO₂ regulators.

Its unique 90-degree side-entry design repositions the cylinder horizontally, solving two key issues faced by aquascapers:

1. Vertical clearance problems inside cabinets or under shelves
2. Bubble counter interference caused by traditional top-mounted adapters

Machined from anodized aluminium alloy, this adapter is lightweight yet durable. It features a knurled control knob for adjusting CO₂ flow and includes spare washers, a locking grub screw, and an Allen key for long-term maintenance.

⚠ Important Safety Note:

Before screwing the adapter onto your Sodastream cylinder, always ensure the control knob is fully turned counter-clockwise (closed). This prevents the internal pin from opening the valve prematurely and releasing CO₂ unexpectedly.

Instructions for Use:

1. Ensure the control knob on the adapter is fully closed (counter-clockwise) before installation.
2. Screw the adapter onto your AU/NZ Sodastream cylinder until hand-tight. This will position the adapter without triggering gas flow.
3. Attach your aquarium CO₂ regulator to the W21.8 (DIN 477) outlet on the adapter.
4. Once all connections are secure, slowly open the control knob to release CO₂.
5. Use soapy water or leak detection spray to test all fittings for leaks.

Spare washers are included for future use if internal seals degrade or require replacement.
This adapter is pre-fitted with working seals — no assembly required out of the box.
