It's good for the price

It's a great light but the adapter they give you for it is super dodgy and started sparking

Bright light, works great for illuminating fish but on the wrong tank grows algae.

This is a beginner light, so I was suuuper happy to finally be able to see my fish properly - it works fabulously in my highly planted natural tank with only occasional filter use as the substrate is a father fish style deep substrate setup for my white cloud and sunset mountain minnows, however when I moved it across to a Betta breeding tank where I had previously had a mass plant die off catastrophe which had wiped out half of the plants, this lamp encouraged rampant blue green sheet algae growth... I have worked the hardest on the ecosystem in this tank so I was very cautious about doing anything with or to it... but ironically, the natural fix for this problem is exactly what I was originally avoiding; putting more floating plants into the tank... Which is doing great and the algae is shredding itself, helped by a few strategically placed guppies. Now I have it on a large experimental green water daphnia farm tank for a couple of weeks... Hopefully going to have enough daphnia to freeze... will see if it works well with growing the green water -such an odd, tiniest of tiny plants!
