At its core, the CO2 Art PRO-SE dual-stage regulator (W21.8 / AU–NZ Type 30) delivers stable output from full cylinder to near empty. It features an integrated solenoid for effortless on/off control, a medical-grade needle valve for ultra-fine adjustments, and a bubble counter with built-in check valve to protect your system and make tuning a breeze.

CO₂ is dissolved efficiently via the CO2 Art inline diffuser, plumbed into your canister filter return—so you get fine-mist dissolution and a crystal-clear display with no in-tank disc. The glass drop checker kit helps you dial in levels at a glance, while the clear, rigid polyurethane CO₂-resistant tubing (choose 3 m or 6 m) gives a neat, durable run from cylinder to cabinet hardware.

Compatibility notes

For use with pressurised CO₂ cylinders using W21.8 (AU/NZ Type 30) valve threads.
Install the inline diffuser on the filter outflow (return) line.
Use only CO₂-rated tubing and secure all connections.

Quick setup tips

Install the regulator securely on the cylinder and check all fittings.
Open the cylinder valve slowly.
Set working pressure to 30–40 psi for the inline diffuser.
Run CO₂ 1 hour before lights on and switch off 1 hour before lights out.
Bubble rate depends on tank size — adjust gradually using the drop checker.

Faulty Pressure Adjustment Knob

The regulator came with a faulty "Pressure Adjustment Knob" and was never checked before it was sent out for delivery. This problem has been documented before online. Now have to wait 3 weeks for a replacement.

Thanks for the feedback. We're sorry the regulator didn't arrive in working order. Here's exactly what happened and what happens next.

The customer contacted us before ordering because they believed the Pro-SE was out of stock on our website. We confirmed we had one last unit and let them know the next shipment was about 3 weeks away. That's why we couldn't do an immediate replacement, or else we would have.

Pro-SE regulators come from CO2Art in their retail box, and we send them out unopened so customers receive a brand new unit. That means we don't bench-test them before dispatch.

We've sold over 200 Pro-SE regulators and this is the first fault reported to us - in New Zealand at least, No product has a zero fault rate, which is why it's covered by warranty.

We sent a prepaid return label the next day, we heard about the knob. The customer hasn't connected the regulator or tested it yet, so when it's back we'll test it on a cylinder ourselves. If it's faulty, we'll replace it under warranty and raise it with CO2Art.

Either way, we'll update this reply with what we find.

Makes it easy to check my CO₂ and pH levels at a glance. The glass design is simple and doesn’t distract from the clean look of my Iwagumi tank.

Excellent regulator kit, everything needed ready

Much better than the cheap regulator I'm replacing, very precise needle valve control. No leaks, nice pressure adjustment and easy to read dials. The solenoid power supply comes with universal attachments so it fits my American pH controller out of the box. The Aquascape Shop are great to deal with and delivered fast to Australia. Very impressed overall.

Perfect for setting up the CO2

Perfect for setting up the CO2. More than enough length so had some spare. Wishing I bought the black tubing now though! Will probably change it out at some point.

Easy to setup and use. Can be a little fiddly to get the liquid in at first but you just need to do a bit at a time. Only issue is trying to see the colour against the dark background when the lights are off.

Amazing service and very accomodating team. Love the new co2 setup. I had been researching for a long team and stumbled upon this one stop shop for everything I needed. And they went above and beyond to deliver on the same day at my request, Highly recommended. Just some constructive feedback for the team- you can dominate the aquarium supplies market if you restock items listed quicker but in saying that of course you may have challenges that I am not aware of. Great product. Soda stream bottle was only lasting 5-6 weeks with an in tank diffuser. Hooked this up 12 weeks and 2 days ago, and that is how long the soda stream bottle lasted with this diffuser at about 3 bubbles per second.
