Each tissue culture cup contains multiple portions — simply rinse, divide, and plant. One pot can cover more ground than you'd expect!
Cryptocoryne balansae, or balansae crypt, is a background rosette plant with long, crinkled (bullated) leaves that can reach up to 50cm. The narrow strappy leaves add vertical height and natural movement to the back of medium to large tanks.
In your tank it settles in as a rosette and sends up fresh leaves over time, swaying in the current and giving good contrast against fine-leaved or carpeting plants. It works beautifully in lush, jungle-style layouts. Some leaf melt after planting is normal for crypts, so leave it be and it will push out new growth as it adjusts.
Grown in sterile tissue culture, it arrives in a densely packed cup free of snails, algae, pests and disease, giving your tank a clean start.

How to plant your tissue culture Cryptocoryne
