Cryptocoryne wendtii Pink Flamingo, or the Pink Flamingo crypt, is an uncommon colour form of the wendtii group with soft pink to blush foliage and an elegant, slightly wavy leaf. It sits well in the midground, where its warm tones stand out as a focal point among green plants.
Like all Cryptocoryne, this is a rosette plant that grows from a central crown and spreads slowly by runners to form a loose group over time. It holds its best pink under stronger light, and adding CO2 makes the colour more intense, though it still grows happily in lower-tech tanks with a more muted pink hue. A nutrient-rich substrate keeps it healthy. If it drops a few leaves after planting, that is normal crypt melt, and it recovers and pushes new growth once settled.
