Description
Description
Cryptocoryne × lucens (Willisii) is a popular hybrid aquarium plant valued for its resilience, tidy growth, and ability to adapt across a wide range of conditions. With its narrow, grass-like green leaves and low-growing nature, it’s ideal for the foreground to midground of freshwater aquariums.
Unlike more demanding carpeting plants, Cryptocoryne × lucens is well-suited to both beginners and experienced aquascapers alike. It establishes well in low-tech tanks and spreads slowly through runners, forming natural-looking clusters over time.
This plant is available in both Emersed and Submerged forms:
- The emersed form is easy to establish and will gradually convert to submerged growth.
- The submerged form is ready to be planted directly and will maintain its underwater leaf form.
Key Features
- Hybrid Resilience: A cross of hardy Cryptocoryne species, combining the best traits of both
- Low & Tidy Growth: Ideal for clean, structured layouts
- Beginner Friendly: Thrives in a wide range of conditions, even in low-tech tanks
- Spreads Naturally: Propagates slowly via runners for easy maintenance
- Versatile Placement: Great for foreground or midground use in nano to large tanks
