Cyperus helferi, sometimes just called cyperus, is a grass-like rosette plant from Thailand that grows fully submerged. It sends out long, narrow ribbon leaves, roughly 20 to 35cm tall from a rosette 15 to 25cm wide, that arch over and sway in the current. It sits well in the midground to background where those leaves have room to fan out.
Give it a decent amount of light and it grows into a fountain of movement, and it looks its best in a tank with good water flow so the leaves drift back and forth. A little CO2 helps it grow in and keep that fresh green colour. It is a slower grower, so it holds its shape and stays tidy once it has settled in.
