Echinodorus 'Ozelot', a spotted sword plant, is a hybrid sword with broad, glossy leaves. New growth flushes reddish and settles into green marked with red to brown spots, giving each leaf its own pattern. It grows tall and makes a natural background plant or a single centrepiece.
Given room it develops into a large rosette that anchors the back of an aquascape or stands alone as a feature. It is an easygoing grower that copes with a wide range of tanks and stays healthy under modest lighting. As it fills out you can trim older outer leaves to keep the shape open, and it is readily propagated by rhizome division once established.
