Echinodorus parviflorus, the dwarf amazon sword or rosette sword, is a compact sword plant with broad, lance-shaped green leaves that grow out in a tight rosette. It reaches around 25cm tall, a smaller, tidier option than the larger amazon swords. Its size and full shape make it a natural fit for the midground, or the background of a nano tank.
In your tank it grows from a central crown and sends out runners, with new plantlets forming beside the parent that you can separate and replant to build up a group. It does well in a nutrient rich substrate and rewards root feeding, and while it will grow without added CO2, extra light, CO2 and ferts push faster, fuller growth. An easy, hardy plant that also gives fish somewhere to shelter.

Our plants are harvested fresh and algae free. The conversion to submerged growth starts in our grow-out tanks, which settles the plant in and maximises your success once it is planted in your aquarium.
Submerged: grown fully underwater, the form the plant takes once established in your aquarium. Emersed: grown with the leaves above the waterline and the roots wet, a common nursery method that produces strong, healthy plants that then transition to submerged growth in your tank.
