Description
Description
Echinodorus 'Rosé' is a cultivated hybrid between Echinodorus horemanii 'Red' and Echinodorus horizontalis, developed in 1986 by Hans Barth in Dessau, Germany . This plant is renowned for its broad, oblong leaves that emerge in shades of pink to bronze-red, transitioning to deep green as they mature. The vibrant coloration and robust growth make it a standout choice for aquascapers seeking a dynamic centerpiece.
Growing to heights of 25–40 cm with a rosette spanning 15–25 cm, Echinodorus 'Rosé' thrives in nutrient-rich substrates and benefits from moderate to high lighting. While CO₂ supplementation is not mandatory, it can enhance growth and coloration. The plant's adaptability and moderate growth rate make it suitable for both novice and experienced aquarists.
