Hydrocotyle tripartita 'Auckland' is a small, creeping carpet plant with bright green, sharply lobed leaflets that spread low and fill in horizontally. It works well across the foreground and into the midground, where its fresh three-lobed foliage softens hardscape and edges.
Given decent light it creeps outward into a dense mat, and with CO2 it stays low and compact. Trim it back regularly to keep the carpet tight and encourage fresh growth. This one is an introduced Australian species that we sourced and propagated from Auckland, and we currently list it as an experimental plant, so we would love your feedback on how it grows for you.
