Hygrophila corymbosa 'C. Stricta', known as Cherry Leaf, is a broad-leaved stem plant with large, oval leaves and an upright habit. New growth can take on warm cherry-pink tones over its green foliage, and the tall stems sit well through the midground and into the background of a planted tank.
It is a fast grower that stays easy to manage, which makes it a good pick for beginners as well as experienced aquascapers. It draws nutrients readily from the water and helps keep a tank balanced, and it responds to brighter light and added CO2 with fuller, more colourful growth. Trim the tops and replant them to keep it bushy and shaped the way you want.

Every plant is harvested fresh and algae free, and the conversion to submerged form begins in our grow-out tanks to maximise success once it settles into your aquarium. It is very likely to shed most or all of its leaves as it moves from emersed to submerged growth, which is a normal part of adaptation. The healthy stems recover and push out fresh underwater foliage soon after.
Submerged means the plant has been grown underwater and is already adapted to life fully beneath the surface. Emersed means it was grown with its leaves above the waterline, so it needs a short settling-in period to convert to its underwater form.
