Hygrophila Polysperma - Emersed is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Hygrophila polysperma, commonly called dwarf hygro, is a fast growing stem plant with slender green leaves running up bright upright stems. It sits well in the background or midground, where a few stems quickly become a full green backdrop.
This is one of the most forgiving stems you can grow. It does well under low to medium light and across a wide range of water, roughly 20 to 28C and a pH of 6.0 to 8.0. The fast growth makes it a genuine workhorse for soaking up excess nutrients and helping keep algae in check, and CO2 is not needed though it will grow denser and faster with it. Trim the tops regularly and replant them to keep a thick, bushy stand.

Our plants are harvested fresh and algae free. Conversion to submerged form starts in our grow-out tanks, which gives the plant a strong head start and maximises success once it settles into your aquarium.
Submerged means grown fully underwater, the form the plant takes once established in your tank. Emersed means grown with the leaves above the waterline in humid conditions, as in a paludarium or terrarium.
