Limnophila sessiliflora, commonly known as ambulia, is a classic aquarium stem plant with fine, feathery green leaves whorled up the stem. It grows tall and bushy, so it sits best in the background or midground where its soft texture fills space and gives the scene depth.
Ambulia is one of the easiest fast growers you can keep. It does well even under low light, and a little extra light with CO2 makes it fuller and more compact. It takes up excess nutrients from the water column as it grows, and it responds well to regular trimming: cut the tops, replant them, and it thickens up quickly.

Our plants are harvested fresh and algae free. The conversion to submerged, underwater form starts in our grow-out tanks, which maximises success once it settles into your aquarium.
Submerged means grown underwater and already adapted to life in the aquarium, ready to settle straight in. Emersed means grown with the leaves above the waterline, which then transitions to its submerged form once planted.
