Ludwigia Glandulosa - Emersed is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Ludwigia glandulosa, sometimes called cylindric ludwigia, is a stem plant that brings warm red and burgundy tones to a planted tank. Its narrow, slightly twisted leaves shift from green to deep red as conditions improve, and it sits well in the midground or background where the colour reads against green foliage.
It grows upright and responds to light. Under medium to strong lighting it develops its richest reds, and while it will grow without added CO2 it fills in faster and colours up better with it. Plant it in small groups with a little space between stems so light reaches the lower leaves, and trim regularly to keep it bushy. It suits community and nature-style aquariums and is forgiving enough for aquarists still finding their feet.

Our stems are harvested fresh and algae free. The change to fully submerged growth begins in our grow-out tanks, which settles the plant in early and gives you the best chance of a smooth transition once it is in your aquarium.
Submerged means grown underwater, the form the plant holds once established in your tank. Emersed means grown above the waterline with leaves in open air, which is how many aquarium plants are farmed before they adapt to life underwater.
