Ludwigia Palustris - Emersed is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Ludwigia palustris, also known as water purslane, is a leafy stem plant with narrow, pointed leaves that sits comfortably in the midground to background. In moderate light it holds a vibrant green, and under stronger light with good nutrition it grows more compact and colours up from warm copper to rich red.
It is forgiving about water chemistry and settles in quickly, which makes it a good pick for newcomers and experienced aquascapers alike. Each stem reaches roughly 10 to 30cm tall with a 2 to 4cm spread, so it fills the mid and back of the scape without taking over. Propagation is easy: trim the tops, replant the cuttings, and new side shoots thicken the group, handy when you want to fill an empty patch fast. CO2 is not essential, but it noticeably improves colour and form.
