Lysimachia nummularia 'Aurea', known as gold moneywort, is a stem plant with bright yellow to golden-green rounded leaves carried along trailing stems. That warm colour makes it a strong contrast plant in the midground to background, and it can also creep as an accent in paludariums.
In your tank it grows upright or trails depending on where you place it, and gives its best golden colour under strong light and cooler water. It stays easygoing for beginners: trim the tops to manage height and shape, and replant the cuttings to build fuller coverage. CO2 is not required, though it lifts growth and density. It does well with both root and water column feeding, and holds its golden hue best in cooler temperatures, around 18 to 26C with a pH near 6.5 to 7.5.
