Rotala Wallichi (Red Pine) - Emersed is backordered and will ship as soon as it is back in stock.
Rotala wallichii, known as Red Pine, is a fine stem plant with soft, needle-like foliage that gives it a feathery, almost mossy texture. Planted in a group it forms a bushy column, and it sits best through the midground to the background where its colour can carry the eye.
Given strong light and CO2 it turns from green at the base to warm pink and red at the tips, a lovely contrast against green-leaved plants. Trim the tops regularly to keep it compact and to encourage denser, bushier side growth, and good flow helps keep the fine foliage clean. It is a rewarding plant that really comes into its own once it has settled in a well-lit tank.

Our plants are harvested fresh and sent to you algae free. The conversion to fully submerged growth starts in our grow-out tanks, which gives you a strong head start and maximises success once it settles into your aquarium.
Submerged means the plant is growing fully underwater, the form it takes once established in your tank. Emersed means it was grown with its leaves above the waterline, so you may see some early leaves fade as it adjusts to life underwater and puts out new submerged growth.
