Digital pH Pen with Calibration Solution

A pocket digital pH pen for checking your aquarium water without reagents or colour charts. Switch it on, dip the tip into your sample, give it a gentle stir and read the result off the LCD once the number settles.

pH is worth keeping an eye on in any tank. It shifts with your water source, substrate and hardscape, and in a planted tank it moves with CO₂: injected CO₂ lowers pH while it runs, so many aquascapers compare readings with the CO₂ on and off to see how much it is doing. A pen makes those regular checks quick and easy.

Calibration solution is included so you can set the pen up before first use and check it again over time. Every pH electrode drifts as it ages, so recalibrating now and then keeps your readings honest. Follow the instructions supplied with the pen for the calibration steps.

How to use

1. Take off the protective cap.
2. Slide the switch to turn it on, then dip the electrode into the water, no deeper than the immersion line.
3. Stir gently and wait for the reading to stabilise.
4. Rinse the electrode with distilled water, dry it gently with a soft cloth and put the cap back on.

Looking after it

• Rinse the electrode with distilled water before and after each use.
• Keep the cap on when you're not using it so the electrode doesn't dry out.
• For long-term storage, keep the electrode moist.
• Don't submerge the pen above the immersion line.
