Platinum Marble Angelfish (Pterophyllum scalare)
The Platinum Marble Angelfish is a stunning freshwater angelfish variety featuring a mix of shimmering white and silver tones with bold marbled black patterns. Its metallic sheen and elegant flowing fins make it a standout centrepiece in both planted and community aquariums.
This variant is a selectively bred form of Pterophyllum scalare, reaching 15–20 cm in height (including fins). It thrives in tall tanks with plenty of vertical space, stable water conditions, and gentle filtration. Ideal water parameters include a temperature range of 24–29 °C and pH of 6.5–7.5.
Platinum Marble Angelfish are peaceful and social, best kept in groups of 4 or more. They pair well with calm tankmates like tetras, gouramis, corydoras, and other non-fin-nipping species. During breeding, they may become mildly territorial.
Feed a varied diet of quality flakes, pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and veggie-based foods to support colour, health, and vitality.
