The Gold Marble Pearlscale Angelfish is a stunning freshwater variety of Pterophyllum scalare, combining a vibrant gold and black marbled body pattern with shimmering, textured pearlscale scales. This angelfish stands out for its eye-catching coloration and glitter-like scale finish, making it a true centrepiece in any tropical aquarium.
Reaching up to 15–20 cm in height, this angelfish variety prefers tall tanks with gentle flow, stable temperatures between 25–29 °C, and a pH range of 6.5–7.5. Pearlscale angelfish have a unique scale texture that reflects light, giving them a sparkling appearance that changes subtly as they move.
Gold Marble Pearlscale Angelfish are generally peaceful and do well in community aquariums with calm tankmates. They thrive in environments with vertical décor, tall plants, and soft substrates, and may become mildly territorial when breeding.
Feed a balanced diet of high-quality flakes, sinking pellets, frozen bloodworms, and brine shrimp to support their health, growth, and colour intensity.
