Fuji Red Discus (Symphysodon Aequifasciatus)
The Fuji Red Discus is a vibrant, selectively bred variety of discus fish known for its solid, deep red coloration and graceful round body shape. Named after the iconic red hue reminiscent of Mount Fuji sunsets, this discus adds a bold splash of color and sophistication to any aquarium.
Fuji Reds thrive in clean, warm, soft water with stable conditions. Ideal parameters are 28–30 °C and a pH between 6.0–6.8. These discus typically reach 15–18 cm in size and are best kept in groups of five or more to reduce stress and encourage natural schooling behavior.
They are omnivores and enjoy a diet of high-quality discus pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart blends. With consistent care and excellent water quality, Fuji Red Discus show intense, uniform coloration and active, peaceful behavior.
