Blood Red Map Discus (Symphysodon aequifasciatus)
The Blood Red Map Discus is a stunning variant of discus fish, featuring a deep red body patterned with dark “map” lines that enhance its vibrant coloration. Known for its graceful, disc-shaped body and calm demeanor, this fish becomes a radiant centerpiece in planted or community aquariums.
Growing to about 15–18 cm, Blood Red Discs thrive in warm (28–30 °C), soft, slightly acidic water (pH 6.0–6.8). Like all discus, they are schooling fish—keep at least 5 to reduce stress and bring out natural behavior. They eat high-quality discus pellets, frozen bloodworms, brine shrimp, and beef heart blends, and respond best to stable, high‑quality water conditions.
This discus variety is captive‑bred, healthy, and ready to ship—offering both exceptional color and peaceful temperament.
